The MacMillan Birtles Pipe Band is a lower grade (currently Grade V) pipe band companion with the MacMillan Pipe Band. Both (The) Band(s) are based in the Suburban Maryland area, and we practice at a variety of locations. In fact, we are currently looking for reliable and steady practice location. The band consists of Bagpipe players, Snare, Tenor and Bass drummers from the Washington DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas, and some from even as far away Lancaster Pennsylvania.
We compete in the Mid Atlantic Branch of the EUSPBA, and most of the games we participate in are in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania, though we are going to New York this year, and have gone to (and will go agin this year) to Maxville, Ontario, and Montreal Quebec.
